Built on different levels, preserve in the tallest part
(the Castle)
medioeval atmospheres, as we cuold breathe for example
in via delle Volte, a road covered for hundred meters.
An arcade of the incomplete Campagna Building gives access to
this
tangle of small streets, alleys and small squares placed side by side by Renaissance buildings and fourteenth-century house-towers as that of Arnolfo di Cambio, the architect of Saint Maria of the Flower in Florence, been born in Colle around 1245.
Worthy of it notices the baroque Cathedral, with a Crucifix of Gianbologna and the Pretorio Building, center of the Archaeological Museum.
In the low part, the Church of Sant'Agostino is of Antonio from Sangallo the Old one. |
